CAJUN MUSIC JAM ON THE PORCH
Third Friday of the Month
L’Union Française sponsors a free Cajun Music Jam once a month, for now on the third Friday of the month. ADDITIONALLY, we are hosting a Table Française (loose, casual conversation gathering for people wishing to practice their French) before the jam starts!
The Table Française will go from 5PM to 6PM and the Jam will run from 6PM to 8PM.
Our past Cajun Jams have attracted many musicians and many instruments from guitar to fiddle to cello to saxophone or anything your heart desires. All ages are invited to this free community event and you are welcome to bring your own drinks and food to this event, but not necessary.
Our first Cajun Jam took place on Friday, October 5th, 2018 and was a grand success! Since then, we have held regular Cajun Jams.
James DeRoussel, Sam Chachéré Craft and their Cajun music friends play and sing French and Creole songs in an old-fashioned jam session, with people gathering on our porch and yard. And there’s always the opportunity to dance to the music!
Please check our Calendar of Events for information regarding the schedule of our next Cajun Music Jam.
Our Cajun jam was featured on the Heart of Louisiana TV segment (click here).
