Ageless French Literature
A broad survey of French literature throughout the centuries, from the Middle Ages to the 20th Century. Through readings and discussion of various epochs (Middle Ages, Renaissance, Classicism, Enlightenment, Romanticism, Modern) and authors, we will explore French History. We will discuss the impacts of religious upheavals, wars, politics and other events that have shaped French thinking and writing. This class will be suited to those who already have a serious background in French.
This class will meet in Fall 2021 in person on Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. Central Time.
